Catholic Connect Crosses 14 Lakh Monthly Readership, Expands Digital Services

Bengaluru, July 6, 2026: Catholic Connect, a digital platform serving the community in India, has crossed 10 lakh monthly news reads, marking a significant milestone in its growth within two years of its launch in 2024.

The platform recorded more than 14 lakh news reads in May 2026, reflecting its expanding reach among Catholics across the country. The increase in readership underscores the growing demand for dedicated news and faith-based digital content in India.

Catholic Connect provides comprehensive coverage of Church life, reporting on developments from the Vatican, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CCBI), dioceses, parishes, religious congregations and Church commissions. Alongside ecclesiastical news, it covers current affairs, minority rights, education, healthcare, legal developments and issues affecting the Catholic community.

Over the past two years, the platform has reported extensively on incidents of violence and discrimination against Christians, significant court rulings, and major developments involving Catholic institutions. It has also highlighted stories of faith, social service and achievements of Catholic schools, colleges and healthcare institutions. Over the past two years, Catholic Connect has reported extensively on issues affecting the Christian community, including incidents of violence and discrimination against Christians, minority rights, significant court rulings and major developments involving Catholic institutions. It has also highlighted stories of faith, social service and national recognitions received by Catholic schools, colleges and healthcare institutions.

One of the platform's most significant stories was its early coverage of the alleged assault on Catholic priests and pilgrims in Jabalpur. The incident later echoed in Parliament, where Opposition members staged a walkout in the Lok Sabha, bringing national attention to the issue. Catholic Connect's reporting has also been regularly picked up by secular media, prompting further investigation and wider coverage of several stories.

To serve India's diverse Catholic population, Catholic Connect publishes news daily in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, making Church news accessible to readers in multiple languages.

Beyond journalism, the platform has developed into a digital resource for prayer and spiritual life. It offers Daily Mass Readings, Gospel reflections, the liturgical calendar, saints' feast days and a repository of more than 200 Catholic prayers, including novenas, litanies, seasonal devotions and traditional prayers.

Catholic Connect has also expanded into matrimonial services through Catholic Connect Matrimony, a Church-focused national platform launched in July 2024. The service has grown to more than 5,000 registered profiles from across India after attracting over 3,000 members in its first year.

The matrimony platform has complemented its online service with Meet and Greet programmes in cities such as Bengaluru and Mangaluru, enabling Catholic singles to interact in a faith-centred environment.

Currently in development, the Catholic Connect Yellow Pages will be a trusted national directory connecting Catholics with verified schools, hospitals, retreat centres, religious congregations, NGOs, businesses and professional services across India.
