YU4C-Puducherry Conducts Retreat for Students in Eraiyur, Puducherry

Puducherry, February 10, 2025: YU4C-Puducherry, in collaboration with the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo (Eastern Province), organised a transformative youth retreat at St. Charles College of Arts and Science, Eraiyur, on January 18, 2025. The event aimed to provide students of the institution with a tangible experience of God's presence and help them recognise the consequences of sin. Spearheaded by Rev. Sr. Amali Anbarasi, Provincial of the Eastern Province of the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo, the retreat witnessed the participation of 113 students.

The resource persons leading the retreat included Mr. Victor Joans (NYU4C Tamil Nadu), Mrs. Ambuja Victor, Ms. V. Jasmine Swetha (NYU4C-Puducherry), Ms. Katherine Colbert (PCYM Vice President), Mr. Anbu (PCYM President), Mr. Milvin Raj (Intercession Head, Villupuram Vicariate), and Brother Stephen.

During the retreat, engaging sessions on topics such as God’s Plan, God’s Love, The Worldly Distraction—Sin, and How to Overcome Sin? were held. A skit titled "Why Do We Need the Holy Spirit?" added a creative touch to the spiritual experience. Additionally, students took part in personal prayer, Bible reading, inner healing, and Adoration, all of which helped them experience the healing and redeeming power of God.

The Spirit-filled event allowed many young participants to experience the fellowship and friendship of the Holy Spirit and receive inner healing. Towards the end of the retreat, Brother Stephen’s uplifting music touched the hearts of the students, deepening their connection with God. The retreat ultimately paved the way for the formation of YU4C prayer groups within the institution and the respective parishes of the students, ensuring that the spiritual renewal continues beyond the event.
