Bhopal, February 10, 2025 – Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Seva Sadan, witnessed a grand spiritual celebration as the parish community came together for a triple festivity, marking the Parish Feast Day, World Day of Consecrated Life, and the Jubilee 2025 preparations. The celebrations, held from February 6 to February 9, 2025, were themed around Lumen Gentium—Light of the Nations, emphasising the virtues and role of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The event commenced with a Triduum of spiritual preparation. On February 6, the first day of the Triduum, the flag-hoisting ceremony set the tone for the celebrations, followed by the Novena and the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Ishwardas Minj, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Bhopal. The second day highlighted the theme "Mary: A Model of Faith and Obedience," urging the faithful to emulate the Blessed Mother’s unwavering trust in God. Rev. Fr. Vipin Tigga, Treasurer of the Archdiocese of Bhopal, led the Novena and Holy Mass. The third day reflected on "Mary: A Model of Holiness," encouraging spiritual growth among parishioners, with Rev. Fr. Joseph T., Director of Vianney Bhavan, as the main celebrant.
The grand finale on February 9 featured a solemn procession with the Jubilee Cross 2025, followed by a Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Dr. John PJ, Principal of BSSS. The day’s theme, "Mary: A Symbol of Hope and Comfort," united the parishioners in a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving. The celebrations concluded with the lowering of the flag, marking the end of the parish feast.
Rev. Fr. Anthonious, Parish Priest, expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the successful event, while Rev. Fr. Alfred D’Souza, Assistant Parish Priest, led the felicitation ceremony. Dr. Jaya Peter, Parish Council Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks, following which the community gathered for a festive agape meal, strengthening their bond of faith and fellowship. The celebrations were a testament to the unity and devotion of the faithful, reaffirming their commitment to the Church and the values exemplified by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
