Kairos Global Celebrates 100th Issue with Fourth Straight Catholic Media Association Recognition

July 1, 2026: Kairos Global, the flagship English-language magazine of Kairos Media, has marked a significant milestone by celebrating the publication of its 100th issue while earning two honours at the 2026 Catholic Media Association (CMA) Awards, extending its award-winning streak to four consecutive years.

The magazine received Second Place for Magazine of the Year in the Prayer and Spirituality category for the second year in a row. It also secured Second Place for Best Regular Column for Chandeliers, a popular feature that presents the lives of saints in an engaging and contemporary style.

The latest accolades reinforce Kairos Global's growing reputation among internationally recognised Catholic publications. The Catholic Media Association, based in the United States, is one of the world's leading organisations promoting excellence in Catholic journalism and publishing.

Launched in 2018, Kairos Global has established itself as a faith-centred publication that addresses the questions, challenges, and aspirations of young people and young families through a contemporary Catholic perspective. Its blend of spiritual reflection, inspiring stories, and practical faith formation has helped it build a steadily growing readership.

The magazine is published by Kairos Media, the media ministry of Jesus Youth, a canonically approved international lay association that originated in India more than four decades ago and now has an active presence in over 40 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, North America, and South America.

In addition to Kairos Global, Kairos Media publishes four magazines in English, Hindi, and Malayalam. Its publications include Kairos Buds, produced in English and Hindi and printed from Kochi, Delhi, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom, enabling the ministry to reach readers across diverse regions.

The award-winning edition of Kairos Global was published under the leadership of Dr. Chackochan Njavallil, who then served as Editor-in-Chief and now serves as Director of Kairos Media. Mr. Sijo Thomas currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the magazine.

As the publication celebrated its centenary issue, the Kairos Media team expressed gratitude to God, its readers, contributors, and well-wishers for their continued prayers and support, describing the twin achievements as an encouragement to continue its mission of evangelisation through quality Catholic media.
