ICYM Unveils Silver Jubilee Logo

Bangalore, February 6, 2024: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) proudly unveiled its Silver Jubilee Logo in Bangalore on February 6, 2024.


His Eminence Filip Neri Cardinal Ferrão, President of CCBI, unveiled the logo in the esteemed presence of Bishop Ignatius Dsouza, Chairman of CCBI Youth Commission, Bishop Jaya Rao Polimera, Chairman, Youth Commission of the Telugu Regional Bishop’s Council, Bishop Christudas Rajappan, Chairman, Youth Commission of the Kerala Regional Bishops Council, Fr. Chetan Machado, Executive Secretary of CCBI Youth Commission, Mr. Adv. Antony Judy, former National Youth President of ICYM, and Mr. Nevin Antony, former Karnataka Regional Youth President.


The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) is celebrating its 25th anniversary of dedicated service to Catholic youth and the Church in India. Established on the feast day of its patron saint, Gonsalo Gracia, in the year 2000, ICYM's inaugural national executive youth body (NEXCO) was democratically formed at St Pius College, Mumbai. Under the auspices of the CCBI Youth Commission, ICYM is embarking on an extensive year-long celebration program across India to honour its remarkable legacy.


Under the leadership of Mr. Raj Bag, President, ICYM and Supriya Varghese, General Secretary, ICYM and the guidance of Fr. Chetan Machado as Director, the current NEXCO team is driving this commemorative movement forward. ICYM's impact spans across 132 dioceses and 14 regions, resonating with their resolute motto: "to lead, to serve, and to shine."
