Vatican City, 16 March, 2025— Pope Francis' condition remains stable as he continues treatment at Rome's Gemelli Hospital, according to a medical update issued by the Holy See Press Office on Saturday evening.
Doctors reported that the Pontiff's health is improving steadily, with his need for non-invasive mechanical ventilation during the night gradually decreasing. High-flow oxygen therapy remains part of his care plan.
Pope Francis continues to receive hospital care alongside physiotherapy and respiratory physiotherapy, both of which are contributing to his ongoing recovery.
The Vatican confirmed that the Pope spent much of Saturday focusing on therapy, prayer, rest, and some light work.
The Angelus prayer will be distributed as usual on Sunday, while the next detailed medical update is expected on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Press Office will continue to provide brief evening updates in the meantime.
