Divyavani TV Graduates First Batch of Digital Media Certificate Course in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 3, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening digital evangelisation and communication, Divyavani TV celebrated the graduation of the inaugural batch of its Digital Media Certificate Course during a ceremony held on May 29 in Hyderabad.

The event marked the successful completion of the pioneering programme, which aimed to equip participants with practical skills and ethical foundations for effective communication in the digital age. Church leaders, faculty members and graduates gathered to celebrate the achievements of the first cohort.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Bishop Jaya Rao Polimera, Chairman of Divyavani Social Communications, alongside Fr. Lourduraj SJ, Fr. Yesubabu Kallepalli, and Fr. Thomas Christopher.

Addressing the gathering, Fr. Lourduraj highlighted the growing influence of digital media and underscored the responsibility that comes with creating content. Reflecting on the participants’ learning journey, he stressed that digital storytelling extends beyond producing videos and social media content, calling communicators to create meaningful narratives that inspire, educate and promote positive values. He encouraged the graduates to employ their skills with creativity, professionalism and ethical responsibility.

Delivering the keynote address, Bishop Polimera reflected on the vision of Pope Leo XIV as articulated in Magnifica Humanitas, emphasising the centrality of human dignity in all forms of communication. He noted that media should serve not merely as a platform for information but as a means of fostering truth, dialogue, compassion and authentic human relationships. The Bishop urged the graduates to become witnesses of hope in the digital sphere and to contribute to building a culture of encounter and understanding.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of student projects, which demonstrated the participants’ creativity and technical proficiency. The projects included videos, posters, thumbnails, graphic designs, social media campaigns and communication strategies developed during the course.

Seventeen participants completed the programme and received certificates during the ceremony. Faculty members and trainers were also honoured with mementoes in recognition of their contribution to the success of the initiative.

Organisers expressed gratitude to all those who supported the programme and helped ensure the successful completion of the pilot batch. Graduates shared testimonies on how the course enhanced their skills and deepened their understanding of responsible digital communication.

The initiative reflects Divyavani TV’s commitment to nurturing a new generation of communicators capable of using modern media platforms to promote values, foster dialogue and contribute meaningfully to the Church’s mission in the digital era.
