DIBRUGARH, Assam, March 20, 2025: The Dibrugarh Diocesan Youth Commission conducted a zonal meeting for youth leaders from Zone 8 of the diocese at St. Peter's Church, Wokha, on March 16, 2025. The event brought together youth representatives from five parishes—Bokakhat, Doigrong, Golaghat, Wokha, and Ornalpur. The meeting aimed to provide animation and instruction to young leaders, equipping them with knowledge and skills required for active participation in church activities. The session was led by Fr. John Minj, Diocesan Youth Director, and Fr. Robert Kujur, Secretary of the Migration Commission of the Diocese.
The programme covered several key topics, including the role of young people in the Church, leadership in parish activities, and the challenges of youth migration with a focus on safe migration.
A special session was also conducted on Christus Vivit (Christ is Alive), emphasising Christ’s love, His role as a saviour, and His ever-present guidance. Additionally, discussions were held to plan for a Career Guidance Program to be held on March 31 for the youth of Zone 8 of the diocese. The programme aims to support the youth of the zone in making informed career choices.
The meeting concluded with a 40-minute Eucharistic Adoration, allowing participants to reflect on their learnings and seek spiritual guidance. The initiative marked a significant step in strengthening youth leadership within the diocese of Dibrugarh, ensuring their active engagement in faith and community service.
