Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh, April 25, 2026 — A vibrant spirit of prayer, joy, and fellowship marked the YCS Christean Retreat held at Christ King Church, Sendhwa, on April 22 and 23, drawing 152 children from various parishes for two days of faith formation and spiritual renewal.
The retreat was inaugurated by Dean Fr. Thomas Palakkal, who encouraged the young participants to deepen their relationship with Christ and grow as active members of the Church. Youth Director Fr. Sible warmly welcomed the children and set the tone for the enriching programme.
Sr. Rini Lawrence, MSMI, and Sr. Anisha Saji, MSMI, animated the retreat with a series of engaging and spiritually enriching sessions. Through prayer, reflection, and interactive activities, they guided the children on a meaningful journey of faith.
The programme included the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, motivational talks, games, and lively animation sessions, creating an atmosphere that balanced spiritual growth with youthful enthusiasm. The children participated wholeheartedly, embracing each moment with energy and devotion.
Organisers noted that the retreat provided a valuable opportunity for the participants to encounter Jesus in a personal way and to reflect more deeply on their Christian calling. Many of the children shared their happiness and expressed a renewed commitment to living their faith more fully.
As the retreat concluded, the participants returned home spiritually refreshed, carrying with them cherished memories, stronger friendships, and a deeper love for Christ. The event stood as a testament to the Church's ongoing commitment to nurturing the faith of its younger members.
