World Youth Day Celebrated In Dibrugarh, Assam

Dibrugarh, Assam, 25 November 2025 — World Youth Day celebration was held at Hawaipathar under Jagun Parish in the diocese of Dibrugarh, bringing together around 200 young people from parish communities and neighbouring villages, who came to celebrate their faith, renew their mission, and actively participate in a day of learning and fellowship. The event highlighted who participated, what was celebrated, when and where it took place, why the occasion was significant, and how the gathering helped empower the youth.

The celebration began with the Eucharistic Celebration led by the Diocesan Youth Director, who encouraged the young attendees to strengthen their faith, remain rooted in Christian values and take up responsible roles within both society and the Church.

Following the Mass, interactive sessions were held on themes including faith formation, leadership and the responsibilities of young people in today’s world. The resource persons encouraged the youth to discover their gifts and use them to serve others with confidence and purpose.

A Bible Quiz was also organised, providing a fun and engaging opportunity for the participants to showcase their knowledge of Scripture and deepen their understanding of the Word of God.
