NAGPUR, November 6, 2026: St Charles Seminary brought together generations of priests for its two-day Patron’s Day celebrations on November 4 and 5, with former students returning to mark their priestly ordination jubilees and interact with current seminarians.
The gathering included former students, known as Ex-Carlonians, celebrating 10, 25, 40 and 50 years of priesthood. Their return provided an opportunity to share experiences of ministry and reflect on their journeys with seminarians undergoing formation at the institution.
Archbishop Elias Gonsalves of Nagpur presided over the Eucharistic celebration on November 4, attended by priests, religious and the jubilarians. Bishop Peter Rumal Kharadi of Jhabua, an alumnus marking 40 years of priesthood, was among the bishops present.
The celebrations continued on November 5 with a cultural programme organised by the seminarians, featuring dance, music and other performances. A drama titled “BADALA” was among the highlights.
Addressing the gathering, Bishop Kharadi shared his reflections with the participants. Seminary Rector Fr Aquin Noronha presented the annual report, outlining the institution's activities and achievements over the past year. He thanked the jubilarians for returning to their alma mater and sharing their experiences with the present generation of seminarians.
The packed seminary auditorium reflected the participation of priests from different generations, making the occasion an opportunity to renew bonds of fraternity and strengthen the connection between former students and the institution.
The celebrations reaffirmed the seminary's role in priestly formation and its continuing relationship with generations of priests serving the Church.
