St. Carlo Acutis Novena: Find Your Way Closer to God Through the Eucharist

October 3, 2026: In a world where your attention can be pulled in a hundred different directions, St Carlo Acutis offers a remarkably simple answer to a deeper question: Where is your life ultimately headed?

For Carlo, the answer was always Jesus.

But perhaps that is also the question worth asking yourself.

It is easy to be surrounded by faith without feeling particularly close to God. You can attend Mass, say your prayers, scroll past beautiful Scripture verses and still feel that something is missing. Beneath the noise of everyday life, there can be a quiet longing for something deeper: to know God more personally, to hear Him more clearly and to feel that your life is actually moving towards Him.

That is where the Novena to St. Carlo Acutis can become more than nine days of prayers.

It can become a pause.

A chance to step away from the constant noise and turn your attention towards the One who so often gets pushed to the edges of our lives.

What if you made more room for God?

Carlo's life was centred on the Eucharist. He called it his “highway to Heaven”, seeing the Eucharist not simply as a part of Catholic life but as a real encounter with Jesus.

That conviction gives this novena its heart.

You may come to it with a specific intention. You may be carrying something you cannot quite put into words. Or perhaps you simply want to recover a closeness with God that you once had.

Whatever brings you to prayer, Carlo's witness points you back to the same place: Jesus in the Eucharist.

The nine-day novena reflects on themes including friendship with God, purity of heart, charity, detachment from worldly things, the responsible use of technology, strength in suffering and the desire for Heaven.

These are not distant ideas. They touch the things that fill your own days: what you give your attention to, what you desire, how you treat people, what you hold on to and where you turn when life becomes difficult.

Nine days. One direction.

Carlo's story is not ultimately about being a remarkable teenager. It is about what happens when an ordinary life is deliberately turned towards Christ.

He lived only 15 years. Yet he understood something many of us spend years trying to rediscover: a life can be full without being centred on everything the world tells us to chase.

The novena gives you nine days to make that turn again.

Not towards a perfect life. Not towards having all the answers.

Just towards Jesus.

Because perhaps the greatest thing you can ask for during these nine days is not for God to change everything around you, but for Him to change what is happening within you.

St. Carlo Acutis, teach us to seek Jesus, love the Eucharist and keep our eyes fixed on Heaven. Pray for us.
