Salem, February 8, 2025 – Every First Friday, the minor seminarians of the Diocese of Salem, under the leadership of Fr. Benjamin, Rector and In-charge of Minor Seminarians, along with all Salem diocesan brothers, bring warmth and joy to the residents of Henry’s Home for the Aged. Their most recent visit took place on February 7, continuing this cherished tradition of service and compassion.
During their last visit, the seminarians engaged with the elderly through heartfelt conversations, offering spiritual consolation. They also performed lively dramas and dances, lifting the spirits of the residents.
This initiative, a cherished tradition, ensures that the elderly feel valued, loved, and connected to the community. Residents eagerly await these visits, finding comfort and encouragement in the presence of the young seminarians.
Guided by Fr. Benjamin, this ongoing effort strengthens the bond between the Church and the elderly. As Christ calls His followers to care for the weary and burdened, these visits embody His love and mercy in action, bringing comfort and joy to the elderly residents of Henry’s Home for the Aged.
