Pope Francis Has A Restful Night As His Condition Shows Steady Improvement

VATICAN CITY, March 12, 2025: Pope Francis, who has been hospitalised at Rome's Gemelli Hospital since February 14 due to bronchitis, had a restful night, according to a statement released by the Holy See Press Office on Wednesday morning.

This latest update follows a statement issued by the Press Office on Tuesday evening, which stated that the 87-year-old pontiff spent Tuesday participating in the spiritual exercises that were live streamed from the Paul VI Hall of the Vatican. It added that he also spent time in prayer in his private room and in his chapel, where he also received the Eucharist.

While the Pope’s prognosis is no longer considered critical, this medical team has indicated that he will need to continue treatment in the hospital before resuming his full schedule.
