Guwahati, 11 December 2025 — A one-day Advent spiritual programme titled “Maranatha – Come Lord Jesus” brought together youth from across the region at St Joseph’s Co-Cathedral, Pan Bazar, as the North East Regional Youth Commission (NERYC) and ICYM–North East, in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Youth Commission (AGYC), guided participants into a grace-filled time of reflection and preparation for Christmas.
The day opened with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Amalraj, Deputy Secretary of the NEIRBC. A spiritual talk and an Hour of Adoration were then animated by Fr. John Barman, MSFS, offering participants an opportunity to pause, pray and deepen their encounter with Christ during the Advent season.
Young people expressed heartfelt gratitude for the experience, describing the gathering as a profound journey of renewal. Moments spent in the Sacrament of Reconciliation brought healing and peace, while the Divine Mercy Prayer stirred a deeper awareness of God’s compassion and forgiveness.
The programme stood out as a meaningful spiritual moment for the youth of the region, strengthening their readiness to welcome the birth of Christ with renewed faith and fervour.
