KRLCC To Observe Latin Catholic Day on 7 December

Kerala, November 25, 2025 — The Kerala Regional Latin Catholic Council ( KRLCC), the highest coordinating body for policy formation among Latin Catholics in the state, has announced that 7 December will be observed as Latin Catholic Day. The observance aims to highlight who is celebrating, what the occasion signifies, when and where it will take place, why it is important for the community, and how the faithful will participate across Kerala.

In preparation for this celebration, a circular issued by the Kerala Latin Catholic Bishops’ Council has been distributed to all dioceses. The circular will be read and explained in every parish and institution of the Latin Catholic Church in Kerala on Sunday, 30 November, ensuring that the faithful are informed and encouraged to participate actively in the day’s events.

The celebration aims to reinforce unity among Latin Catholics, promote awareness of their identity and contribution to Kerala’s social and spiritual life, and strengthen commitment to community development and service.

Media outlets have been requested to publicise the information widely so that the message reaches all members of the community and the observance becomes a shared expression of faith, culture, and solidarity.
