Jubilee of Communicators Meet Concludes with Focus on Synodal Communication and Collaboration

Bengaluru, November 5, 2025: Building on the spirit of collaboration and reflection, the second day of the Jubilee of Communicators Meet centred on strengthening Catholic communication in the digital age through prayer, dialogue, and shared insights on faith-driven media engagement.

Addressing the topic of the Catholic digital ecosystem, Fr. David Arockiam—Regional Secretary of SIGNIS India (Tamil Nadu Region) and CEO of Madha TV—highlighted the importance of creating a value-based and responsible media space that encourages unity, dialogue, and faithful witness.

Fr. Joe Xavier offered insights into previous reflections and encouraged the priests to share their spiritual experiences in an Emmaus Talk and sharing of responses.

Group discussions were moderated by Fr. Sudeep Paul, Karnataka Regional Secretary. Participants were divided into two groups that discussed “From Words to Relationships: Connecting through Communication” and “What Can Bring Order to Communication Disorder.” The sessions encouraged practical dialogue on enhancing synodal communication within the Church.

A panel discussion, moderated by Fr. Kampan Chinnam, North East Regional Secretary, explored the theme “Change of the Communication Paradigm: The Rise of Social Media and Catholic Influencers.”

The panel featured Fr. Richie Vincent (Chennai), Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes (Mangalore), and Fr. Alfred Dsouza (Bhopal), who shared valuable insights on responsible engagement and the impact of digital evangelisation in today’s context.

The day concluded with a collective reflection on key takeaways and future directions by Fr. Nigel Barrett, followed by an evaluation session conducted by Fr. Cyril Victor Joseph.

The Jubilee of Communicators Meet emerged as more than an event—it became a moment of renewal for the Church’s mission in the digital age. By bringing together clergy from across the country, the meet strengthened a shared commitment to responsible storytelling, digital discipleship, and synodal communication. It equipped the Church with new perspectives, practical strategies, and a united vision to engage the modern world with clarity, faith, and compassion.
