Gulbarga Diocese Hosts Annual Youth Retreat in Bhalki, Karnataka

Bhalki, Karnataka, Sept. 22, 2025: The Youth Commission of Gulbarga Diocese held its annual three-day Youth Retreat from September 19 to 21 at the Infant Jesus Shrine in Bhalki. The event, held under the theme “Harshisu” (Kannada for “rejoice”), attracted 168 youth from across the diocese. Led by Fr. Richard Quadras, OFM Cap., the retreat aimed to guide participants toward holiness through prayer, reflection, and communal worship.

Over the course of three days, Fr. Quadras delivered inspiring sermons that encouraged the youth to deepen their faith and embrace a path of spiritual growth. The programme included reflections on Scripture, personal testimonies of faith, confessions, and adoration. On the final day, the retreat culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, uniting the participants in a shared expression of devotion.

Meticulously planned by the Diocesan Youth Director, Fr. Sachin Christy, and his team, the event provided a prayerful atmosphere that allowed the young attendees to experience God’s grace in a personal and transformative way. Many participants reported having a renewed sense of purpose and a strengthened commitment to living a holy Christian life.

The Youth Retreat not only reinforced the individual faith of the participants but also equipped them with the strength and knowledge required to embrace the challenges and joys of their daily lives.
