Former Student Gifts Car to Teacher Who Helped Shape His Future

Hangal, Karnataka, June 14, 2026: More than 1,000 former students gathered at Kumareshwar High School in Hangal, Karnataka, to honour their beloved teacher C. S. Vastrad on the occasion of his retirement, celebrating his years of dedication and the countless lives he influenced.

Among the students present was Naveen, whose journey reflected the lasting impact of a teacher’s kindness and support. After losing his father, Naveen faced financial difficulties that threatened his education and future.

Recognising his struggle, Vastrad stepped forward and paid Naveen’s school fees for several years, ensuring that he remained in the classroom and continued pursuing his dreams.

Years later, Naveen, now working at an MNC in Bengaluru, returned to express his gratitude in a memorable way. During the farewell programme, he surprised his former teacher with a brand-new car, leaving everyone present emotional.

Naveen credited much of his success to Vastrad, acknowledging the teacher’s support during one of the most challenging periods of his life.

The heartfelt reunion served as a reminder that great teachers do more than teach lessons — they inspire, guide and transform lives through their dedication and compassion.
