Diocese of Shimoga Welcomes Apostolic Administrator Bishop Duming Dias

Shivamogga, 25 November 2025 — Shimoga diocese formally greeted its newly appointed Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Duming Dias of Karwar, who presided over the Interdiocesan Christ the King celebration at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, on 23 November. The gathering marked his first official liturgical celebration in the diocese following his appointment, offering an opportunity for the faithful and clergy to express their support and goodwill.

Words of felicitation were conveyed by Stany D’Souza, Rector of the Cathedral, after which Bishop Duming Dias was honoured on behalf of the Diocese of Shimoga by Judicial Vicar Biju Thomas and Chancellor Stephen Maxi Albuquerque.
