Bethany Community Grieves Death of Fr. George Thomas Kallunkal OIC

Aluva, August 24, 2025 – The Bethany congregation has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Fr. George Thomas Kallunkal OIC, who was called to eternal rest today.

In a message issued to the Bethanian community, the congregation expressed its grief at his demise and invited the faithful to pray for the repose of his soul. “We humbly request your prayers for the repose of his soul, and for the Lord’s abiding presence to bring solace and strength to all Bethanians and his family members,” the message read.

Funeral arrangements will be communicated at a later stage.

The announcement was signed by Fr. Thomas Prasobh Kolliyelil OIC, Provincial Secretary of the Bethany Navajyothy Province, Aluva.
