Indore, June 2, 2026: Faith, devotion and musical talent continue to converge in Gospel Singer Season 2, the popular reality show produced by Atmadarshan TV as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Catholic Diocese of Indore. Following the successful completion of its second round on May 31, the competition has now narrowed the field to its Top 40 contestants, marking a significant milestone in the journey of discovering and promoting Christian musical talent.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2022, Gospel Singer has emerged as a unique platform for devotional music, attracting participants from across India. The second season witnessed an enthusiastic response, with hundreds of aspiring and experienced singers registering for the competition, including church choir members, worship leaders and emerging gospel artists.
After a rigorous selection process involving auditions and evaluations by an experienced panel of judges, 40 exceptional contestants were chosen to advance to the next stage of the competition. The selected singers represent the rich diversity of Christian communities, particularly from North India, and have distinguished themselves through their vocal excellence, artistic expression and deep commitment to sharing their faith through music.
Organised under the guidance of Fr. Anand and the Atmadarshan TV team, the programme continues to provide gospel singers with a wider audience beyond their local church communities. Open to Catholics and Christians from various denominations, the competition promotes unity and offers a common platform for faith-inspired artistic expression.
Contestants have showcased a wide range of devotional music traditions, including bhajans, hymns and contemporary worship songs. Their performances reflect a vibrant blend of classical, Indo-western and modern musical styles, highlighting the richness of Christian worship and culture in India.
As the competition moves forward, anticipation is building for the next phases of the programme. The Top 20 semifinal round and the grand finale are scheduled to take place in November 2026.
More than a musical contest, Gospel Singer continues to serve as a powerful medium of evangelisation and faith expression, inspiring audiences while strengthening bonds among Christian communities across the country through the universal language of music.
