AI, Cybersecurity Bootcamp Trains More Than 300 Students and Teachers in Lucknow

Lucknow, August 28, 2026: More than 300 students and teachers of Classes 6 to 12 participated in a three-day Generative AI and Cybersecurity Coaching Bootcamp at Fatima Inter College, Mankapur, under the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow.

The programme, organised by HT-DigiSkills and Madre Trinity, focused on emerging technologies, cybersecurity awareness, responsible digital behaviour and the ethical challenges accompanying the growing use of artificial intelligence.

Master Trainer Leo Victor led the training sessions, with contributions from Inspector Ajeet Yadav of Cybersecurity and Vigilance. Harsh Vardhan Singh and his team coordinated the programme.

The sessions introduced students to Generative AI and cybersecurity while encouraging them to reflect on responsible technology use. Participants were urged to look beyond the capabilities of digital tools and consider the ethical implications of how they are used.

Speaking on behalf of HT-DigiSkills, Rezy Lawrence Ross said AI and cybersecurity education should not be limited to acquiring technological skills but should also help young people develop discernment and responsibility in the digital environment.

“HT-DigiSkills is committed to imparting AI and cybersecurity education not simply as modern skills, but as part of our responsibility to prepare young people to navigate the digital world with competence, conscience, discernment and human dignity,” Ross said.

He added that technology should remain “at the service of the human person and the common good”.

The bootcamp encouraged students to ask not only what technology enables them to do, but also what they should do, what they should avoid and why.

Reflecting on the objective of the initiative, Ross said, “Cybersecurity protects. AI amplifies human capability. Education shapes human beings.”

He said HT-DigiSkills and Madre Trinity sought to contribute to the formation of a generation that is “not merely technologically capable, but technologically wise”.

Fr. Marianus Horo, Principal of Fatima Inter College, thanked the organisers, resource persons, coordinators and others involved in bringing the training programme to the school community.

The initiative aimed to equip students and teachers with practical awareness of AI and cybersecurity while emphasising responsible, ethical and human-centred use of technology.
