Youth Jubilee Celebration in Coimbatore Inspires Young Hearts to Embrace Holiness

Coimbatore, Nov 12, 2025: Over 420 young people from across Coimbatore diocese gathered to celebrate their Jubilee under the inspiring theme “Punitham Thuramillai – (Holiness is Not Far Away).” The celebration, held on 9 November, invited young people to walk the path of holiness following the radiant example of St. Carlo Acutis, the millennial saint known for his deep love for the Holy Eucharist. His life served as a guiding light, inspiring the youth to live as Eucharist-centred individuals, growing steadfastly in faith and holiness.

Bishop L. Thomas Aquinas of Coimbatore celebrated the solemn concelebrated Holy Mass along with several other diocesan priests. Gracing the occasion, Fr. Christopher Roach and Fr. Christopher shared meaningful reflections on the Holy Mass, the spiritual richness that flows from the Eucharist, and the abundant graces received through it. The youth then showcased their talents through vibrant cultural performances filled with creativity and enthusiasm.

The celebration featured moments of deep prayer and creativity, with Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, counselling sessions, continuous adoration, artistic and cultural performances, a sound and light drama titled “Unnai Thedi” (In Search of You), a youth procession carrying the relic of St. Carlo Acutis, and the Bishop’s blessing with the relic.

The Diocesan Youth Commission Secretary, Fr. S. Gnanapragasam, meticulously organised and coordinated the celebration, ensuring its smooth and prayerful flow. The Jubilee received an overwhelming response from both the youth and the faithful of the diocese.

The grand Youth Jubilee Celebration concluded with the Bishop’s blessing, leaving hearts inspired to walk the path of holiness — a true reminder that “Holiness is not far away.” Punitham Thuramillai.
