India, 16 April, 2025 : The International Young Catholic Students (IYCS) hosted a global webinar titled “The Cardijn Spirit: Inspiration Behind Our Movement” as part of its ongoing series “Walking the Path of See, Judge, Act.” Held on 12 April, the event drew over 88 participants from around the world—including students, chaplains, alumni, and members of social action movements—united by a shared commitment to justice, dignity, and faith.
The webinar honoured the enduring legacy of Joseph Cardijn, founder of the Young Christian Workers (YCW), whose See, Judge, Act methodology has profoundly shaped social action and youth movements across generations. Through insightful reflections and dialogue, attendees explored how Cardijn’s principles continue to inspire personal and collective transformation in contemporary contexts.
Mr. Roshan Melwyn Lobo, Secretary General of IYCS, opened the session with a warm welcome and introduced the theme, setting a reflective and engaging tone for the discussions that followed. The gathering fostered meaningful exchanges and a renewed sense of purpose among participants, reaffirming the relevance of Cardijn’s vision in today’s world.
As part of the IYCS's ongoing efforts to empower young people in faith and action, the webinar served not only as a tribute to Cardijn but also as a call to carry forward his spirit in addressing today’s global challenges.
