Vellore, November 5, 2025: In an effort to strengthen the Church’s mission of safeguarding children, ADAIVU Publications, together with Athaegom, an NGO that cares for children associated with POCSO cases, has released a new pastoral and educational guide titled “Vilakkum Vizhigal Vizhikkum Vizhigal.” Authored by Fr. Daniel Sharma of the Diocese of Vellore, the publication serves as a beacon of awareness for priests, teachers, and students — addressing child safety, the prevention of abuse, and the cultivation of respectful, value-based relationships grounded in Christian faith and compassion.
The guide offers practical insights to help parishes, schools, and institutions build safe and faith-filled environments where every child is protected, respected, and empowered.
Expressing gratitude, Fr. Daniel thanked Bishop Ambrose Pitchamuthu of Vellore, for his permission, fatherly guidance, and constant encouragement in advancing the mission of child protection across the diocese. He also acknowledged the priests of the Diocese of Vellore for their fraternal support, dedicating the work to them as a contribution to their pastoral and educational ministry.
Fr. Daniel invited clergy, religious, educators, and institutions to integrate the book into their pastoral and academic initiatives, stating, “Your support will help extend this mission of protection and awareness to more teachers, parents, and students.” He further expressed hope that the initiative would “bear fruit in the lives of our children and renew our shared commitment to protect, educate, and empower them in the light of Christ.”
