Vatican Governorate Launches New Official App Dedicated to St. Carlo Acutis

Vatican, Jan 5, 2026: The Governorate of the Vatican City State has released a new official mobile application aimed at providing faster and more intuitive access to its institutional information, dedicating the platform to St. Carlo Acutis in recognition of his well-known interest and skills in information technology.


The application makes available the contents of the Governorate’s official website, www.vaticanstate.va, and has been developed to improve accessibility and ease of use on smartphones and tablets. Through the app, users can consult news updates, announcements, and official communications in a simplified and user-friendly format.


Designed to enhance the digital experience, the app allows quick and intuitive navigation, offering improved access to institutional information. Key features include regularly updated news and communications, push notifications for the latest updates, optimized navigation for mobile devices, and enhanced usability and accessibility of content.


The application is structured into several sections, including the saint of the day, news, interviews, videos, and links to other institutions of the Governorate. These linked services include the CFN, Vatican Museums, Vatican Pharmacy, Vatican Post, Pontifical Villas, and the Vatican Observatory. Additional features are expected to be introduced in the future.


According to the Governorate, the launch of the app forms part of its broader digital innovation efforts, aimed at strengthening transparency, encouraging participation, and ensuring wider dissemination of institutional information through modern and inclusive digital tools.
