Indore, Jan 28, 2026: Marking the 77th Republic Day, the United Christian Forum (UCF) organised a devotional concert titled ‘Pray for India’ in Indore, bringing together Christians from across denominations in a public expression of unity, prayer, and patriotism.
Held after a six-year break, the fourth edition of the programme reaffirmed Indore’s long-standing tradition of inter-denominational harmony. The gathering drew clergy, faithful, and community leaders from various churches, reflecting a shared commitment to faith and national solidarity.
Bishop Thomas Mathew of Indore and Bishop Chacko SVD were present at the event, lending spiritual significance to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Indore Member of Parliament Shri Shankar Lalwani acknowledged the Christian community’s contribution to society and praised its consistent engagement in social welfare and moral formation.
The evening featured a vibrant blend of devotional music, representing diverse worship traditions within Christianity. Through prayerful lyrics and uplifting melodies, the concert conveyed a strong message of unity and collective responsibility.

Renowned worship leaders Shammy and Pari Hans from Punjab and Pastor Sunny Vishwas from Pune led the musical segment, drawing the audience into moments of reflection, prayer, and celebration.
