Sr. Vineeta CSJ Appointed National Secretary of CRI for 2026–2030

New Delhi, February 11, 2026: The Conference of Religious India (CRI) has appointed Sr. Vineeta CSJ as its National Secretary for the 2026–2030 term. The announcement was made by Fr. Saju Chackalackal CMI, National President of the CRI.

A member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry, Tamnaya Province, Bhopal, Sr. Vineeta made her Final Profession on June 28, 2009. She brings to her new national responsibility a blend of academic accomplishment, administrative experience and pastoral engagement.

Sr. Vineeta holds an impressive academic portfolio spanning science, education and theology. She earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology from Safia Science College, Bhopal, followed by a B.Ed. from Brene Narayana College of Education, Muvattupuzha. She completed her Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) at Vidyajyoti College of Theology, Delhi, and later obtained an M.A. in English from Pondicherry Central University and an M.Ed. from JMJ College of Education for Women, Guntur.

Over the years, she has served in diverse roles including teacher, procurator, principal and in parish and pastoral ministries. Her ministry has been marked by organisational competence, collaborative leadership and a commitment to formation and service within the Church.

Currently serving as Secretary of the Kerala Conference of Major Superiors (KCMS), Sr. Vineeta has played a key role in fostering coordination and collaboration among religious congregations in Kerala. Her experience at the regional level is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening CRI’s national initiatives and inter-congregational engagement during her tenure.

The CRI national leadership team comprises Fr. Saju Chackalackal CMI as National President; Sr. Maria Nirmalini AC, Vice President I; Bro. Santhosh CSC, Vice President II; and Sr. Elsa Muttathu PBVM, the outgoing National Secretary. The National Executive Council includes representatives from religious congregations across India.
