Rome to Host Monthly Youth Meetings to Celebrate Jubilee Year and Inspire Hope

Rome, December 19, 2024: A series of monthly gatherings will bring young people together in the heart of Rome during the Jubilee Year, starting from January 2025, to "nourish and strengthen hope." Organized by various associations and movements, the meetings will take place from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, located in the Trevi District (via del Carmine 4). Each session will feature silence, listening, reflection and the sharing of experiences, creating an atmosphere of meditation and community engagement.

The gatherings, centered on phrases from Scripture linked to Jubilee themes, will explore topics of hope, solidarity and societal challenges. The first meeting on January 23, 2025, will reflect on the "Jubilee of the World of Communication," focusing on the media's role in fostering hope and change. Subsequent monthly meetings will address diverse themes, including public service, art, spirituality, health and inclusion, all aligned with specific Jubilee celebrations.

Highlights of the series include a reflection on the "Jubilee of Adolescents and People with Disabilities" in April, the "Jubilee of Families and Entrepreneurs" in May and the "Jubilee of Digital Missionaries and Catholic Influencers" in July. The gatherings aim to foster meaningful dialogue and connection, offering young participants an opportunity to reflect on their roles in shaping a hopeful and united future.

The initiative will conclude on December 11, 2025, with a special session dedicated to the "Jubilee of Prisoners." This year-long journey of faith and solidarity seeks to inspire young people to embrace their faith and take an active part in building a compassionate society.
