Pallottines Extend Kindness to Tribal Villages in Mumbai

Marol, Mumbai, October 18, 2025: In a heartfelt expression of solidarity and compassion, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, Marol, in collaboration with Christ the King Church, Rasayani, and the Presentation Sisters of Rasayani, organised a Social Reach-Out Programme for tribal communities in the villages of Thurade and Akkulwadi on 12 October 2025. The initiative sought to share love, care, and essential support with families living in difficult circumstances.

Spearheaded by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) unit of St. Vincent Pallotti Church, Marol, the outreach has been an ongoing effort for the past three years. It continues to bring hope and relief to remote and underserved villages, embodying the Christian spirit of service in action. This year’s event once again underscored how faith becomes tangible when lived out through compassion and generosity.

Volunteers and parishioners joined hands to distribute food supplies to families and spent time with the villagers in moments of shared joy, prayer, and fellowship. The presence and participation of the Presentation Sisters added a deeply spiritual dimension to the outreach, reinforcing the conviction that true faith flourishes when it reaches out to those most in need.

Parish representatives expressed deep gratitude for the active involvement and generosity of parishioners who contributed their time, resources, and prayers to make the initiative a success. “We are called to be the hands and heart of Christ,” shared one volunteer. “Through these encounters, we rediscover the joy of giving.”
