Members of the SSVP Unit of Mugaiyur Parish Visit Leprosy Home with Aid and Blessings

Mugaiyur, Tamil Nadu – April 9, 2025: Members of the Society of Vincent De Paul unit of St. Francis Xavier Church, Mugaiyur, visited a leprosy camp in Adukam Panchayat on April 3, 2025, to provide essential supplies and moral support to the residents.

The team distributed towels, bedsheets, and snacks to the residents of the camp and also contributed a small donation toward one day’s meal expenses. The visit was further enriched by the presence of the parish priest, Fr. Arputha Raj, who prayed with and blessed the affected individuals, offering spiritual encouragement.

Mrs. Isabella, President of the Local Council, actively participated in the outreach, while Mr. Lucas, President of the Branch Council, led the team with commendable coordination. He was supported by Mrs. Iruthaya Mary, Secretary, and Mr. Stalin, Treasurer, who helped organise the distribution effectively and ensured smooth execution of the visit.

This act of compassion and service by the members of the SSVP unit of St. Francis Xavier Church reflects the enduring commitment of the parish community toward the social welfare and dignity of the marginalised.
