Bagdogra, Darjeeling, April 16, 2025 — Members of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Bagdogra Diocese, visited Bhimbhar Snehasram Drishtihin Vidyalaya, a school for the visually impaired in Darjeeling, on Palm Sunday, April 13. The outreach aimed to share joy, offer material support, and provide companionship to the students as part of the group's Lenten and Holy Week observances.
During the visit, the youth joined the students in prayer and sang hymns, fostering a spirit of unity and reverence befitting Palm Sunday. They also provided lunch to the students as part of their "Feed a Friend Campaign". Various essential items, such as soap, toothpaste, and detergent, which were procured through donations collected during the Diocesan Christmas Carnival and the Lenten Youth Recollection organised by ICYM Bagdogra, were donated to the school by the youth.
The visit was a heartfelt expression of the Lenten call to humility, service, and compassion. It stood as a powerful testament to the faith and mission-driven spirit of the members of ICYM Bagdogra — walking in Christ’s footsteps through acts of love, mercy, and solidarity.
