Khandwa, January 13, 2026:
A three-day “Lead Like Jesus” Leadership Training Programme held at Divyodaya Pastoral Centre, Khandwa, from January 9 to 11 placed strong emphasis on leadership modeled on the life and mission of Jesus. Organised by the Khandwa Diocesan Youth Commission in collaboration with the Communio Team, the programme brought together 68 young participants from across the diocese to reflect on leadership as a call to service, faith and responsibility.
Rooted in prayer and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the training highlighted Jesus’ style of leadership—marked by humility, compassion and self-giving service. Through interactive sessions, reflections and group activities, the youth were guided to understand that true leadership flows from a deep relationship with Christ and is expressed through service to others rather than authority or power.
The sessions focused on servant leadership, accountability and living Gospel values in daily life, encouraging participants to imitate Jesus in their personal conduct and pastoral involvement. A special session on the responsibilities of a leader challenged the youth to become committed witnesses of Christ in their parishes and diocesan activities.
As a practical outcome of the training, the programme witnessed the election of the new Diocesan Executive Committee (DEXCO) on January 11 in an atmosphere of prayer and discernment. The newly elected team reflected the programme’s vision of leadership inspired by Jesus and dedicated to serving the diocesan youth.
The training also provided an occasion to thank the outgoing DEXCO members for their service and dedication. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the participants renewed in their resolve to “lead like Jesus” by serving with faith, humility and commitment in the Church and society.
