Kochi, September 12, 2026: With the aim of creating better employment opportunities for young people, the KCYM Diocese of Cochin organised the Kairos Mega Job Fair at Aquinas College, Edakochi, bringing job seekers and companies from various sectors together.
The initiative sought to help young people explore suitable employment opportunities based on their choices and qualifications. Held under the supervision of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, the job fair brought together around 25 companies from various sectors and attracted more than 300 job seekers.
Highlighting the relevance of the job fair, Fr. Johny Xavier Puthukkatt, Chancellor of the Diocese of Kochi, noted in his inaugural address that securing a better job paves the way to a better life through improved earnings. He lauded the initiative by KCYM as a commendable step towards empowering young people to secure job opportunities that align with their choices and qualifications. KCYM Diocese of Cochin President Daniya Antony presided over the function.
Don Bosco Job Placement Network Programme Coordinator Joshua Leander, KCYM Director Fr. Saneesh Pulikkaparambil, Aquinas College Principal Dr. Joseph John, KCYM Diocese of Cochin Secretary-in-Charge Dias Antony and Vice President Jeeva Reji also addressed the gathering.
Don Bosco Regional Placement Coordinator Monica Arthur, Programme Manager Harish, and Aquinas College faculty members Dr. Honey Cleetus and Alicen Roshni Jacob were also present.
The job fair provided young people with an opportunity to explore a wide range of employment options and connect with companies offering suitable career opportunities. Through the initiative, KCYM sought to create a platform where young job seekers could identify opportunities aligned with their qualifications and preferences.
