Kajubag, 2 April 2025 – Kajubag Deanery in Karwar diocese organised a youth pilgrimage, bringing together 105 enthusiastic young Catholics from eight parishes on a journey of faith and spiritual renewal on 31 March.
Fr. Wilson D’Souza, Fr. Silvan Rodrigues, Sr. Romalia, and Sr. Freshina accompanied the pilgrims, providing spiritual guidance throughout the journey. Pilgrims gathered at San Salvador Church, where Fr. Silvan Rodrigues led the Prayers of the Church.
Emphasising on the presence of Christ, Fr. Mark Fernandes, the resource person, then delivered a talk on Christus Vivit, stating that Christ remains alive and present among the faithful even today.
The group embarked on the Way of the Cross, with parish youth leading each station. Simona and her team sang hymns, creating a reflective and prayerful atmosphere.
Proceeding to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Molkod, the pilgrims participated in the Eucharistic Celebration and later shared a meal, fostering fellowship and unity.
At the Shrine of St. Francis Xavier, Chandavar, Fr. Wilson D’Souza led a time of Adoration, deepening the spiritual experience. Pilgrims completed their journey at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Kajubag, where Fr. Wilson D’Souza delivered a final message.
The Kajubag Deanery Youth Pilgrimage proved to be a resounding success, strengthening the Lenten spirit and drawing young Catholics closer to God through reflection, prayer, and community bonding.
