Jesus Youth Retreat Ignites Young Hearts in the Diocese of Baroda

Vadodara, Gujarat, October 30, 2025: A Youth Retreat organised by Jesus Youth Vadodara at Jagruti Animation Centre, Netrang from October 24 to 26, as Eliora 2025 — gathered more than 70 young participants and 20 volunteers for three days of faith, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

Guided by Fr. Vincent Lobo and Sr. Rosy Pallath, the retreat offered the youth a space to encounter God’s love and rediscover their identity in Christ. Resource persons Yusuf Masih and Dominic Mathew led insightful sessions centred on discovering one’s identity in Christ, encountering God’s love, embracing Scripture, and finding healing through repentance and the Sacraments.

A deeply moving moment came with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Sebastião Mascarenhas, who blessed each participant individually, making the day of confession a profound experience of mercy and renewal.

Throughout the retreat, the youth engaged in adoration, inner healing sessions, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, praise and worship, and creative group activities, all fostering an atmosphere of joy and deep spiritual reflection. Many shared heartfelt testimonies of personal transformation and healing, bearing witness to the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit.

As the retreat drew to a close, participants were introduced to the Jesus Youth movement and its mission of evangelizing through joyful witness and everyday discipleship.

Eliora 2025 has truly kindled a flame of revival among the young people of Vadodara, forming a generation ready to return to their parishes with renewed zeal — to ignite hearts, strengthen communities, and bring others closer to Christ.
