Bhopal, October 30, 2025: Under the leadership of Archbishop Sebastin Durairaj SVD and Fr Ishwardas Minj, the Women Commission of the Archdiocese of Bhopal organised Deanery-Level Competitions across the Bhopal, Narmadapuram–Harda, and Sehore Deaneries on 26 October 2025. The events featured quiz and dance drama contests based on the theme “Hope”, encouraging faith, creativity, and leadership among women across the archdiocese. More than 750 women participated alongside parish priests and coordinators, reflecting unity, enthusiasm, and growing participation in the Church’s mission.
Archbishop Durairaj commended the participants for expressing faith through art and collaboration, observing that such initiatives strengthen families and build vibrant parish communities.
In the Bhopal Deanery, around 60 parish-level quiz winners and 16 dance drama teams competed with great enthusiasm. The first prize in the dance drama category went to Infant Jesus Shrine, Ayodhya Nagar, for their inspiring performance. In the Narmadapuram–Harda Deanery, seven teams presented dance dramas and 25 parish quiz winners took part, with Immaculate Conception Church, Harda, securing first place. In the Sehore Deanery, four teams and 15 quiz finalists participated, with St Theresa’s Church, Ashta, winning top honours.
Organised under the guidance of the respective deans and coordinated by the Women Commission, with support from parish women’s groups, the competitions reflected joyful fellowship and a spirit of empowerment, creativity, and hope among the women of the archdiocese.
