ICYM Jalandhar Leads Youth in One-Day Prayer for Spiritual Renewal

Jalandhar, 11 March 2025 – The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Jalandhar organised a one-day prayer gathering for the youth of Ajnala and Amritsar Deaneries in the Diocese of Jalandhar. Held on 8 March at St. George Catholic Church, Chuchakwal, and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Nai Abadi, the gathering aimed to deepen the spiritual lives of young Catholics as part of the Jubilee Year celebrations.  

Inspired by the words of Scripture, "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth" (Ecclesiastes 12:1), the event brought together 151 young participants in Ajnala Deanery and 71 in Amritsar Deanery. The gathering brought the youth together for adoration, spiritual talks, and the Holy Mass.  

In Ajnala, Fr. Joseph Chirappara led adoration, Fr. Peter Hans delivered a spiritual talk, and Fr. Libin K. presided over the Holy Mass. Meanwhile, in Amritsar, Fr. Joseph Mathew, Dean of Amritsar Deanery, celebrated the Holy Mass. Fr. Sijith John gave a spiritual talk and hosted the event, while Fr. Dins P. John conducted adoration.  

Organised by the Diocese of Jalandhar’s Youth Commission, the gathering provided a sacred space for young Catholics to reflect, pray, and strengthen their faith in communion with the Church.
