ICYM Chandigarh Deanery Hosts Taizé Prayer Service for Youth

Chandigarh, 29 March, 2025 – The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Chandigarh Deanery organised a Taizé Prayer service for young people of the Chandigarh Deanery (Simla Chandigarh Diocese) at St. Anne’s Convent School, Chandigarh. The event drew around 100 participants who gathered for an evening of spiritual reflection, meditative chants, and prayer.


The service commenced with the celebration of the Holy Mass, setting a reverent and solemn tone for the gathering. Following the Eucharistic celebration, attendees immersed themselves in the Taizé Prayer session, fostering an atmosphere of peace and contemplation. The prayer service, known for its simplicity and deep spirituality, allowed the youth to engage in moments of silence, scripture readings, and meditative music.


Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to deepen their spiritual journey during Lent, finding solace in the serene and reflective environment. The event reinforced the importance of prayer and community, encouraging young people to strengthen their faith through shared spiritual experiences.


ICYM Chandigarh Deanery continues to provide platforms for youth engagement in faith-based activities, nurturing their spiritual growth and sense of belonging within the Church.
