Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai Honoured Among India's Best Healthcare Brands

Mumbai, July 3, 2026: Fresh from being recognised as one of India's Best Healthcare Brands 2026 by ET Edge, part of The Times Group, Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, has reaffirmed its commitment to combining clinical excellence with compassionate, ethical, and affordable healthcare.

The hospital received the prestigious recognition on June 26 at a ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The award honours healthcare institutions that have made significant contributions to India's healthcare sector through strategic vision, quality services, and organisational excellence. Selection criteria included brand value, clinical excellence, patient experience, growth, longevity, annual turnover, and workforce strength.

Reflecting on the achievement, Executive Director Dr. Sr. Beena described the award as both a moment of gratitude and a call to continue strengthening the hospital's mission of patient-centred care.

"We are really delighted to receive this recognition. It reflects decades of compassionate, quality healthcare delivered in an affordable manner and made accessible to people from every section of society, irrespective of caste, creed or economic background," she said.

Calling the honour a humbling experience, Dr. Sr. Beena noted that although Holy Family Hospital is not among the country's largest healthcare institutions, it has earned the trust and confidence of the community through ethical medical practice and patient-focused service.

She pointed out that patient feedback and overall patient experience formed an important component of the evaluation process.

"Our patients trust our hospital because of our credibility in providing affordable, ethical, compassionate and quality care," she said.

Dr. Sr. Beena attributed the hospital's consistent standards to its mission of delivering compassionate, ethical, quality and affordable healthcare. She highlighted that the institution holds both NABH and ISO accreditations, while several departments have also received specialised quality certifications.

Despite advances in medical technology, she stressed that compassion remains central to the hospital's philosophy.

"We treat every patient who enters our hospital with dignity, respect and kindness," she said, adding that the combination of accredited quality systems, dedicated staff, ethical values, integrity and affordability contributed significantly to the recognition.

The Executive Director also highlighted the hospital's recent investments in advanced technology, patient safety initiatives, process improvements and digital transformation as important milestones in its journey towards excellence.

Describing quality healthcare as an ongoing pursuit rather than a final destination, Dr. Sr. Beena said the hospital would continue focusing on clinical excellence, patient safety and becoming future-ready through digital innovation.

She observed that artificial intelligence and emerging technologies would play an increasingly important role in healthcare delivery, while emphasising that these advancements would always be guided by the hospital's core values of ethical practice, responsible stewardship of resources and respect for every patient.

Commenting on the evolving healthcare landscape, Dr. Sr. Beena said that while many healthcare institutions increasingly focus on profitability, Holy Family Hospital remains committed to placing patients at the centre of its mission.

"For us, profit is not our highest value. Our highest value is our patient—earning their trust through compassionate, respectful and high-quality treatment," she said.

She also noted that India's healthcare challenges are shifting from communicable diseases to non-communicable illnesses such as heart disease, neurological disorders, cancer and age-related conditions, driven by increasing life expectancy.

To respond to these emerging healthcare needs, the hospital plans to strengthen its superspeciality services and establish centres of excellence, particularly in cardiac care. It also intends to expand geriatric healthcare, community-based elderly care programmes and home healthcare services in the coming years.

Dr. Sr. Beena, Assistant Executive Director Sr. Sheeja and Medical Director Dr. Roopa Mepani received the award on behalf of Holy Family Hospital. The ceremony was attended by chief executive officers and senior management representatives from leading hospitals across the country.
