Gulbarga, October 6, 2025: Families from across Gulbarga gathered at the Mother of Divine Grace Cathedral to celebrate the Family Jubilee 2025 under the theme “Together with Mary: Jubilee Rosary Day for Families.” The day-long celebration, marked by prayer and reflection, inspired participants to renew their faith and strengthen the bonds of love and prayer within their homes. The event was organised by the Diocese of Gulbarga in collaboration with the Holy Cross Family Ministry of the South Indian Province.
Delivering the keynote address, Fr. Vinay Kumar reflected on the significance of the Jubilee for families, describing it as a “time of renewal, thanksgiving, and rediscovering God’s blessings in family life.” He highlighted the sacredness of marriage as a covenant rooted in divine love and portrayed the family as a “domestic church” where faith, prayer, and forgiveness take root. Emphasising the Rosary as a “weapon of peace and unity,” he urged families to make it a daily prayer, while underscoring the healing power of confession and forgiveness within homes.
Among the dignitaries present were Fr. Santhosh Bapu, Vicar General; Fr. Vinay Kumar, Regional Secretary for Ecumenism and Liturgy; Fr. Ronald Fernandes, Director of Afzalpur Mission; and Fr. Johny, Director of Holy Cross Family Ministry, South Province.
The celebration concluded with a candle-lit Rosary rally around the cathedral. Parents, children, and elders prayed together, their voices rising in unison under the maternal care of Mother Mary. The moving procession embodied unity, faith, and devotion—capturing the spirit of the Jubilee and its call for families to live in love, prayer, and service.
