Grand Inauguration of the Jubilee Year 2025 in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh

Jhabua, 30 March, 2025 - The Catholic Diocese of Jhabua has launched the Jubilee Year 2025 with a grand spiritual retreat at St. Arnold’s Church in Meghnagar. The three-day prayer gathering, which began on Saturday, 29 March, attracted thousands of devotees, uniting them in faith and devotion.

Bishop Peter Rumal Kharadi officially inaugurated the celebrations by hoisting the Jubilee Year flag. He then lit a candle and unveiled the Jubilee Cross, symbolising the diocese’s spiritual commitment to this sacred year.

Prominent religious figures, including Fr. P. A. Thomas (Vicar General), Fr. Sylvester Meda (Secretary), and Fr. Julian Toppo (JDCP President), graced the occasion, inspiring the faithful with their presence and guidance.

The event fostered deep spirituality, with devotees engaging in prayers, meditation, and fasting. The Christian community embraced the sacred words of Jesus: “Today salvation has come to this house.” The overwhelming participation reflected a shared desire for divine blessings and spiritual renewal.

The retreat continues until Monday, offering believers further opportunities for prayer and reflection. More than a religious observance, this gathering serves as a powerful expression of faith, love, and devotion within the community.

As the Jubilee Year unfolds, the spiritual fervour ignited during this retreat is set to guide and inspire believers on their journey of faith.
