Bengaluru, September 3, 2025: The annual inter-collegiate gospel fest 'Stauros Geulah Redemption' was hosted by the Christian Students’ Association (CSA) of Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, on Friday, 29 August. The festival brought together students from various institutions to celebrate gospel, joy, and fellowship, featuring a wide range of spiritual and artistic activities that allowed participants to showcase their talents while engaging in worship and reflection. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Spurgeon R, Director & CEO of Bengaluru Baptist Hospital, and Sr. Fridoline, Local Manager, presided over the event, emphasising the importance of holistic growth in both academics and faith.
The fest’s theme, centred on redemption and hope, resonated deeply with all attendees. Dr. Spurgeon R inspired the audience with words of encouragement and faith, while Sr. Fridoline and Dr. George Lekha, Principal of MCC, reinforced the institution’s dedication to nurturing both academic excellence and spiritual enrichment.
A wide array of performances highlighted students’ creativity and talent. Soul-stirring solos, vibrant medleys, and the imaginative crafting of the Stauros reflected the collective spirit of the festival. Competitions such as Ice Breakers, Western Acoustics, Vernacular Singing, and Gospel Beats showcased musical brilliance rooted in worship, while Street Play, Choreography, Soldiers of Christ, and Pot Pourri added drama, movement, and wit. Artistic expressions came alive through Face Painting, Collage Making, and Reel Making. The festival concluded with a moving session of Praise and Worship, followed by the Valedictory ceremony, leaving participants enriched with joy, fellowship, and spiritual inspiration.
