Day 13 of 40: Daily Encounters with Jesus

Mar 4, 2025: This Lent, let us step into a daily two-minute encounter with Jesus, guided by the intimate conversations recorded in St. Faustina’s Diary. Come, listen to His voice, and speak to Him from your heart.

Today Jesus says to you: “Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy.” (Diary, 300)

The world longs for peace. Nations struggle, wars continue, and hearts everywhere carry fear and uncertainty. Yet Jesus reminds us that true peace cannot come from power, control, or human plans alone. It begins when hearts return to the fountain of His mercy.

But peace is not only something the world lacks — it is something our own hearts often struggle to hold. You may carry quiet anxieties about the future, tensions in relationships, or burdens that no one else fully sees. In moments like these, it is easy to search for peace in distractions, success, or control. Yet Jesus gently invites you to return to His Heart — the place where mercy heals what the world cannot.

When you turn to Him, even with a simple prayer, you step again into that living stream of mercy and peace.

This Lent, will you allow your heart to become a place where His peace can begin?

Ask Yourself: Am I searching for peace in things that cannot truly give it? Is there a worry or burden I need to bring to Jesus today? Can my prayer today become a small offering for peace in the world?

Pray: Jesus, lead me and our wounded world to the fountain of Your mercy.
