Chief Minister Naidu Highlights Government’s Support for Christian Minorities

Vijayawada, December 28, 2024: The Andhra Pradesh State Minority Corporation organized a grand Pre-Christmas celebration in Vijayawada, drawing Christian leaders, community members and dignitaries together to mark the festive occasion. The event, held on December 23, featured a message of unity and inclusivity, with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu highlighting his government's commitment to supporting Christian minorities. Naidu also announced key initiatives, including financial assistance for churches and pilgrimages and infrastructure projects for Christian institutions.


Bishop Jaya Rao Polimera delivered an inspiring address, praising the government's efforts to support Christian contributions in education, healthcare and social service. He stressed the importance of unity among all communities to foster mutual respect and compassion. Chief Minister Naidu further underscored the government's welfare measures, including funding for church construction and renovation, the creation of a Christian Missionary Properties Development Board and the completion of the long-delayed Christian Bhavan in Guntur.


The celebration also featured carol singing, prayers, cultural performances and the distribution of Christmas gifts, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. The event emphasized the shared values of compassion, service and unity, reinforcing the state’s vision of inclusive growth and empowerment for minority communities.
