CCBI Hosts Financial Management Course for Women Religious Administrators in Goa

BENAULIM, Goa, March 11, 2025— The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India launched the ninth edition of the Women Religious Financial Administrators’ Course at Shanti Sadan, Benaulim, Goa, on March 11, 2025. The course, which will continue till the 15th of March, is aimed at provincials and provincial financial administrators of women’s religious congregations. 37 sisters from 15 religious congregations are participating in this batch of the 4-day course. Mr. Sunil Gonsalves, C.A., and Mr. Gaver S. Lobo, C.A., will be the resource persons for the training program.


The launch ceremony of the programme commenced with Fr. Duming Gonsalves, the administrator of Shanti Sadan, welcoming the participants and introducing the resource persons. This was followed by an inaugural Mass celebrated by Fr. Arulraj Gali, CSC. In his orientation address, Rev. Fr. Dr. Aleixo Menezes emphasised the importance of transparency and compassion in financial management to build trust and credibility within religious congregations and affiliated institutions.


During their stay in Goa, the participants of the programme will also be undertaking a spiritual pilgrimage to significant religious sites in the state, including the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Sé Cathedral, the Church of the Cross of Miracles in Old Goa, St. Joseph Vaz Renewal Centre, the Tomb of Fr. Agnel in Pilar, St. Joseph Vaz Church in Sancoale, and St. John Baptist Church in Benaulim.
