New Delhi, March 19, 2025 – Bishop Ignatius D’Souza, Chairman of the CCBI Youth Commission, encouraged young volunteers to embrace their mission with faith and humility during a special Eucharistic celebration on the Feast of St. Joseph at the Communio Volunteers Training Programme, held at Don Bosco Provincialate, Okhla.
Addressing 35 volunteers, Bishop D’Souza reflected on the life of St. Joseph, emphasizing his silent yet steadfast devotion to God’s plan. “Joseph didn’t need words—his actions spoke for him. He listened, he trusted, and he obeyed. That’s the kind of faith we need today,” he said in his homily.
The bishop highlighted that true service is not about recognition but about faithfulness in everyday actions. He reminded the volunteers that their mission extends beyond service—it is about communion, walking together in faith, and bearing witness to Christ’s love.
As the volunteers prepare for their mission work, the celebration served as a moment of spiritual renewal, reinforcing the message that God calls ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things through trust and obedience.
The Feast of St. Joseph, the patron of the Church, families, and workers, offered a fitting occasion for the volunteers to reaffirm their commitment to serving God and the community.
