The event, presided over by His Eminence, Cardinal Poola Anthony, Archbishop of Hyderabad, witnessed the presence of all the Bishops of the Telugu Catholic Bishops’ Council (TCBC), hundreds of clergy, religious, and lay faithful.
Solemn Jubilee Procession: A Public Witness of Faith
A grand Jubilee procession set out from the Rosary Convent Entrance, with hundreds of faithful carrying banners and prayerfully reciting the rosary. Led by the Holy Jubilee Cross, it drew priests, religious, and laity from various parishes. The procession culminated at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Apostolic Square for the Eucharistic celebration.

He highlighted the Cathedral’s role as the Mother Church of the Diocese and called upon the faithful to deepen their spiritual journey.

As part of the Jubilee celebrations, Cardinal Poola Anthony blessed and inaugurated several new facilities within the Cathedral premises, including a New Adoration Chapel, a Presbytery cum Parish Pastoral Centre, and three devotional shrines dedicated to Infant Jesus, St. Joseph, and Our Lady of Velankanni, providing sacred spaces for pilgrimage and prayerful reflection.
A Moment of Grace and Gratitude
Expressing gratitude, Cardinal Poola Anthony acknowledged Monsignor Yeruva Balashowry for his dedication to the Cathedral's preparations. The faithful left spiritually renewed, embracing their Jubilee journey, while the Archdiocesan Youth Band enriched the celebration with an uplifting performance, filling hearts with joy and devotion.
