Archbishop Machado Congratulates CSI Bishop Vincent Vinod Kumar on New Appointment

Bangalore, August 15, 2025: Archbishop Peter Machado of Bangalore paid a courtesy visit on the eve of Independence Day, 14 August 2025, to Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, newly appointed Bishop of CSI Karnataka Central Diocese, to extend his congratulations and goodwill.

During their meeting, Archbishop Machado extended his warmest wishes to Bishop Kumar and discussed the challenges facing the Church in the region. The two bishops explored ways to strengthen faith and unity among their congregations, and deliberated on potential collaborations to showcase their unity. The discussion also touched on various activities of the churches that promote faith, strength, and unity. Jerome D., Secretary for the Archdiocese Ecumenism Commission; Mr. Pericho Prabhu, Joint Secretary of Archdiocese Ecumenism Commission; Rev. Christopher Samuel, Secretary of Karnataka Central Diocese; and Rev. Dr. Solomon Raju.
